After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Wachter completed her medical education at the Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, where she was in the top quintile of her graduation class, and remained for both her internship and residency in Internal Medicine. She was then a fellow in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the George Washington University Medical Center. She joined the Christiana Care Endocrinology Specialists in August of 2008.

 

Dr. Wachter is actively engaged in the Medical Group of Christiana Care as the Clinical Leader in Endocrinology. In this role, she collaborates with other subspecialties and primary care physicians within the medical group with the goal of providing each patient efficient and exceptional care. She treats all types of Endocrine disorders, with a focus on Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes (with the use of insulin pumps and sensors), thyroid cancer and other thyroid disorders, osteoporosis and PCOS. She partners with her patients, in the hopes that each patient achieves their health goals. 

Dr. Wachter holds a Delaware medical license and is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. She is a member of the American Diabetes Association, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the Endocrine Society.
