Dr. Miller is a board certified reproductive endocrinologist who, prior to founding RMA of Michigan, was a partner at RMA of New Jersey working closely with its director, Dr. Richard Scott. There he accumulated a vast amount of experience unparalleled to the majority of RE’s across the country by performing over 35,000 ultrasounds, 2,000 oocyte retrievals, 4,000 embryo transfers and overseeing over 6,000 IVF stimulations! Under Dr. Miller’s care, his patients alone delivered over 1,500 babies!! Of those born, 70% were singletons, 26% twins, 4% triplets and less than 0.1% quadruplets.
While serving in the United States Navy, he was the Director of the Assisted Reproductive Technology Program at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the National Naval Medical Center and the National Institute of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. Under his direction, the Assisted Reproductive Technology (“ART”) Program was consistently one of the most successful in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. In addition Dr. Miller directed the training of Fellows in assisted Reproduction for the Combined Federal Fellowship Program in Reproductive Endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Miller did his undergrad and received his medical degree, with distinction, from Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Michigan and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the National Naval Medical Center Bethesda, Maryland. Under the direction of Dr. Richard T. Scott, he then completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at the Combined Federal Fellowship at National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Miller is the author of over twenty scientific articles and has been the recipient of several awards, including both the United States Army and Navy Achievement Medals. He is an ad hoc reviewer for the international journal Fertility and Sterility. His scientific and medical focus includes decreasing high order multiples in IVF with the utilization of extended embryo culture and elective single blastocyst transfer. Dr. Miller is on the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) selection committee for the Oakland University William Beaumont Medical School. He also volunteers his time and service once a month at the Gary Burnstein Community Health Clinic in Pontiac, which provides free medical care to uninsured and underinsured families in the community.
