Dr. McCrary is originally from New Jersey. Her undergraduate training was completed at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Her Medical school degree was obtained at Medical College of Ohio, followed by Residency in Pennsylvania at Allegheny General Hospital. She completed her fellowship at New York University.
Dr. McCrary has particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis including rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis. A comfortable onsite infusion suite is available for infusions of the most current therapeutic options for arthritis, vasculitis, and lupus. Electronic records are utilized to facilitate communication between our office and the patient’s other providers immediately following visits.
Dr. McCrary has 18 years of experience in managing complicated rheumatologic disease in a private practice setting. She has been recognized by her peers as a “Top Doctor” in Connecticut Magazine on multiple occasions. Practice style is that of a clinical partnership. In that rheumatologic illnesses are complicated, Dr. McCrary will spend time with her patients and their families, if desired, to discuss the clinical exam, diagnostic testing, results, and treatment to allow the patient to participate fully in treatment decisions.
Dr. McCrary lives in Durham with her husband and daughter. She enjoys spending time in the outdoors including kayaking, hiking, and nature touring.
