Dr. Debora Ortega-Carr joined Family Allergy & Asthma in 2021 after nearly 30 years as a board-certified allergist. Dr. Ortega-Carr received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stanford University. She then went on to graduate from Ohio State University School of Medicine with her medical degree. After that, she completed her internal medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where she practiced for one year as a general internist. Dr. Ortega-Carr then completed her fellowship in Allergy and Immunotherapy at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin.
Dr. Ortega-Carr is board certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy & Immunology. She has been a clinical instructor at Ohio State University and maintains an active interest in the residents and medical students’ education. She has also been involved in clinical research and writing numerous publications in the fields of allergy, asthma, and immunology. She has a special interest in helping patients with the management of their asthma.
