Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Jonathan Lovy is a family-oriented physician who is genuinely concerned about the health and well-being of each of his patients. Dr. Lovy always takes time to explain diagnostic and treatment plans as well as address any questions or concerns. He extends this same level of communication to patients’ families because he is dedicated to providing excellence in medical care and putting everyone involved at ease.
Dr. Lovy is Program Director for the Beaumont Hospital – Trenton Internal Medicine Program. His role involves training medical residents and students in the practice of internal medicine. As part of his responsibilities, he runs the internal medicine outpatient clinic for the hospital, allowing residents and students to participate in the care of patients seen in his office, which provides an even greater resources to those who are treated in his office.
Dr. Lovy has outstanding credentials. He received a degree in chemistry from Wayne State University and earned his medical degree at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship at Botsford Hospital where colleagues voted him Intern of the Year.
Dr. Lovy completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke Medical Center in Chicago. There he was awarded the Upjohn Achievement Award of Excellence – Outstanding Residents for Teaching on Rounds. He has received numerous teaching awards from Beaumont- Trenton Hospital, where he was previously named Physician of the Quarter.
Dr. Lovy’s professional memberships include the American Osteopathic Association, the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Internists, and the American College of Osteopathic Internists. He is affiliated with Beaumont Trenton and Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital.
