She received her undergraduate degree from New York University, continuing on to receive her medical degree from the world-renowned Sackler School of Medicine in 2002. She completed a residency in internal medicine at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY. Impressed by her outstanding performance as a doctor, North Shore hospital offered her a position as a Hospital Care Attending Physician upon completing her residency. After several years as part of the Hospital practice, Dr.Gafanovich was invited to join a private practice in New York City, and in May 2008 she assumed sole responsibility for the practice.
