She received her undergraduate degree from New York University, continuing on to receive her medical degree from the world-renowned Sackler School of Medicine in 2002. She completed a residency in internal medicine at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY. Impressed by her outstanding performance as a doctor, North Shore hospital offered her a position as a Hospital Care Attending Physician upon completing her residency. After several years as part of the Hospital practice, Dr.Gafanovich was invited to join a private practice in New York City, and in May 2008 she assumed sole responsibility for the practice.
Dr. Gafanovich is dedicated to providing the same superb medical care that her predecessors gave to their patients. The Upper East Side practice was founded in 1961 by Dr. Eric Cassell, who was well known in New York City for his 40 years of expertise and personalized patient care. His immediate successor continued the same high standard of medical care for another 20 years.
