With over three decades in practice as a leading OB/GYN, Maurice J. Butler, MD, FACOG is an innovative specialist in infertility. He cares for patients at Columbia Fertility Associates in Washington, D.C.
A native of Washington, D.C., Dr. Butler headed back to the neighborhood where he grew up to earn his medical degree from the George Washington University Medical School. He went on to complete an obstetrics and gynecology residency, as well as a reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) fellowship through the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore.
Throughout his advanced training, Dr. Butler received extensive experience in in-vitro (IVF) at the Jones Institute in Norfolk, Virginia. He worked closely with the team that produced the first IVF baby in the United States.
Dr. Butler is board certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. With his advanced background in complex infertility cases and modern approaches to conception, patients can feel confident and comfortable under Dr. Butler’s care. He is currently accepting new patients and welcomes them to the practice.
