Dr. Jawahar is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. After earning his medical degree from Gandhi Medical College in India, Dr. Jawahar completed a residency in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Fellowship at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. He then completed a Critical Care Medicine fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Dr. Jawahar has published research papers in medical journals and is member of several professional credentialing organizations. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, and the American Academy of Seep Medicine. He also is the President of Kent Pulmonary Associates. Locally, he is the Director of the Sleep Lab at Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover, DE. and has been featured several times as one of Delaware’s “Top Docs” in Delaware Today magazine.
