Dr. Emily Baird is a native of the Pacific Northwest and received her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. After college, Dr. Baird received a Ph.D. in organic chemistry at Cornell, and her medical degree at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She went on to complete anesthesiology residency and an obstetric anesthesia fellowship, both at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) in Philadelphia, PA. Thereafter, Dr. Baird served on the HUP faculty for 4 years where she served in the role of director of obstetric anesthesia. She returned to the Pacific Northwest in 2014 to join the staff at OHSU, where she rose to the rank of assistant professor before deciding to relocate her family to Central Oregon, joining BAG in early 2022.
Dr. Baird lives in Bend with her husband and two sons. She enjoys spending time with her family and they all appreciate the plethora of activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer, especially hiking, biking, and skiing.
