Dr. Bieniek earned a BS with Honors in Bio-engineering from the Pennsylvania State University in 2005 and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2009, having been selected to AOA Honor Society. He completed General Surgery internship and Urology residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. Following interests in andrology and microsurgery, he then obtained his fellowship training in Male Reproductive Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, University of Toronto. At Hartford HealthCare, Dr. Bieniek serves as the Medical Director for Men's Health within the Tallwood Urology and Kidney Institute and helped spearhead the development of a system-wide multidisciplinary men's health program.
Dr. Bieniek is a board certified member of the American Urological Association and remains an active member in the American Urological Association, Society for the Study of Male Reproduction, Sexual Medicine Society of North America, and American Society of Reproductive Medicine among others.
He has presented over 20 research abstracts at regional and national levels focusing on advancing care in male fertility and sexual health. His ongoing projects involve the impact of obesity on reproductive health, micro-surgical training, novel erectile dysfunction treatments, and multidisciplinary men's health care. He has published on various urologic topics and serves as a reviewer for male fertility, sexual medicine, and medical device manuscripts.
