Joshua LeBlanc, MD, FAAP grew up in an Air Force family and has lived in 9 different states. He completed medical school at The University of Cincinnati and began his residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, but transferred to the University of Tulane after he was married. He has been practicing on the Northshore since completing Tulane/Ochsner Pediatric Residency Program in 2002. He had been in group pediatric practice before opening his own pediatric clinic in June, 2011 and is currently on faculty with Tulane University School of Medicine as Clinical Faculty Instructor of Pediatrics and Clinical Faculty for William Cary University training medical students and residents.
He has held previous leadership positions for which he has won awards, most recently the Frist Humanitarian Award in 2017 given annually by Lakeview Hospital. He recently completed serving on the Executive Committee for the Louisiana Chapter of The American Academy of Pediatrics, as well as serving on pediatric committees at both St. Tammany Hospital and Lakeview Regional Hospital. Thru the years, he has been volunteering in the community and assisting with many community projects to include ACCESS, Kids Konnection, the Children’s Museum of St. Tammany Parish and donating to local schools. Working with local TV stations, Dr. LeBlanc provided health information to the communities as well as assisting in the establishment of the first concussion program for St. Tammany Parish, which is currently in place.
