Dr. Larson earned his MD from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, served his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston/MD Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute, and completed fellowships in Neuroradiology at the Mayo Clinic and University of California/San Francisco. He served as chief of Interventional Neuroradiology at Vanderbilt University Medical School before becoming director of the Neurointerventional fellowship program at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Larson joined InterMountain Neurosurgery (now CHPG Neuroscience & Spine) in 2008 and serves as director of Neurointervention at St. Anthony Hospital. Dr. Larson is a member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, Society of Neurointerventional Surgery, American College of Radiology, Western and Southeastern Radiological Societies, American Medical Association and American Heart Association.
